Clean, contemporary collection of cat products: a bowl made of recycled paper pulp and a reclaimed dish, a bed sewn from reclaimed textile and foam cushion, and a scratcher of recycled corrugate. Pieces can be arranged in multiple configurations to suit kitty’s style. All of these combine to create a sophisticated environment that sets kitty apart from the unrefined, unkept world beyond. These pieces bring an attitude, recalling the wild origins - untamed and unimpressed - of a fearsome predator within. Part of a designer-in-residence program with St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda in-which reclaimed materials are pulled from the waste stream of thrift store donations, re-purposed into new products which are then produced via simple manufacturing techniques, in limited run, through a service that hires and retrains people with barriers to employment.
